St Joseph the Worker Preschool Little Geniuses Chess on Mondays

Little Geniuses is a chess-song-singing, laughing, chess-tourney, dancing, clock-slapping, zany video, puppet-show introduction to chess and being the smart kid in the room. Kids report Little Geniuses to be the favorite part of their week, because kids love our infectiously fun thinking activities, which are developmentally targeted to be compelling, exhilarating, and gratifying.

Guaranteed to delight, Little Geniuses is the perfect way to instill enthusiasm for chess and help your child gain academic confidence while learning the basics of the game and having a blast.

Upon enrollment, new students receive a chess set, chess bag, and all the colorful SillyBands they can earn!

Class meets weekly on Mondays, right after dismissal, from 2-2:45pm

We will NOT meet for chess on days when school dismisses early or is not in session.

Additionally, The Knight School will be closed, and there will not be chess on:

JAN 4 and MAR 8  

Please read the monthly newsletter mailed to all enrolled families monthly, called The Knightly News, to stay informed of all the cool new things we are rolling out as well as important dates about tournaments, camps, etc. 

More info will also be included in your welcome letter, which you will receive via email before your child's first day of chess.

Little Geniuses will be dismissed to their parent pick-ups at the side pick-up doors of the preschool wing at 2:45. Children not picked up by 2:50pm will be walked to extended care to safely await pick-up. If you know your child should consistently attend extended care after chess, please let us know. 

******** Please also be sure your child is pre-enrolled in St. Joe's extended care program in case you 

ever need to pick up your child after 2:45pm.
